Food security depends on something most people never see: where the country’s warehouses are, what they hold, and whether the network can absorb a shock. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) commissioned PRIME Philippines to find out.
Collaborating with the Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines (SCMAP), PRIME Philippines built a nationwide warehouse registry covering approximately 200 pilot cities and municipalities. The team mapped warehouse supply and geographic distribution, then validated the data to give DTI a single, structured view of the country’s storage infrastructure, gaps included.
Large-scale market research isn’t only for governments. The same methodology (primary data collection, validation, and consolidation across hundreds of locations) is what private operators need when they’re sizing a logistics network, choosing where to build, or planning for resilience. You can’t optimize what you haven’t measured.
